TEDx Has Ideas – and Relationships – Worth Spreading

by | Oct 7, 2013 | jahlberg

I am very pleased to be a sponsor of this year’s TEDx Naperville event, being held on November 8, 2013, at Grounds for Hope Cafe in the Trinity Building at 2701 Maple Avenue, Lisle, IL.

What is TED?

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences — the TED Conference and TEDGlobal — TED includes the award-winning TED Talks video site, the Open Translation Project and TED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDxNaperville, TEDTalks and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and personal connections.

Why am I a sponsor?

I want to be a part of TEDx Naperville for the ideas and the people. Over the course of the past couple of years, I’ve seen plenty of inspiring and thought-provoking TED Talks, and always leave the TEDx Naperville events feeling energized. I find the people I meet there, and the people I talk to about TED, are my kind of people. They are interested in the world and making a positive difference. They are more likely to be curious, creative and community oriented – and, most importantly, passionate about something.

I would love to see you at this year’s event. Learn more here.
