Technology of the Month – July

……….……

  • PaperKarma – Stop unwanted paper mail – using your phone! Snap a picture of junk mail and the app will remove you from the mailing list. I’ve used it for the past couple of months with almost perfect success.
  • Shapeways – You design your own 3D thing and they will print it for you. You can also buy other peoples’ printed designs or creations.
  • Pocket Artillery – A fully functional pocket artillery mini cannon. Need I say more…
  • Lighting Ever Cree Flashlight– A small super bright LED flashlight – And I mean super bright. I’ve got one and it is darn close to as bright as a car headlight. Amazing since this is really small at only 4.5 inches long, uses 3 AAA batteries, and costs a meager $10.
  • Smart Socks – Yes, you heard me right. RFID enabled socks so you never lose one again!
  • Samsung Activ Q – A laptop that is also a tablet that runs both Android and full Windows 8. Now you can have your cake and eat it, too.
  • Microsoft Illumiroom – Really cool room effects that interact with gaming. Check out the videos to see what I mean.
