Google is more than just a search engine...
Google
has applications! And I'm not just talking about the free office apps
for word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail. I'm talking about a long list of
quick access programs that can be used and accessed almost immediately on a single page.
I changed my default Google page to the iGoogle page by clicking up at
the top of the normal www.google.com site. Now I can "Add Stuff" to the main page, or just
leave it clean and simple like before. The advantage is that I can add
a tab to the page and then add more "stuff" to that page. I added a new
tab and called it Tools. On that page I have free tools like -
- A Document to PDF converter
- Simple Calculator
- Currency Converter
- Driving Directions
- Bablefish language translator
- People Search
- Free iTunes store downloads
- Games like Pac Man and Mini Golf
- Investment and stock tracking
- Many many more
This allows me to have a single page that is easily accessible where I
can go whenever I need access to application or other tool I may use
every once in a while. Give it a try. It is simple to setup and easy to
use. Best of all, it is free and a single page to access all of the
things you may need.
Give it a try!
